Being a tattoo artist is more than just a job, it has become an essential part of my daily routine. Giving life to the ideas and concepts that my clients present to me, the connections and friendships that I have gained and the pride of seeing the faces of my clients when they see the finished work in the mirror for the first time makes me truly humble and realize that I am just an instrument.
Tattooing wasn’t my first choice. Beginning in a very Catholic atmosphere, I strived to lead a life of service. This led me to the seminary and after 7 years studying, meditating and preparing myself, I was ordained a priest in 2016. Yes, I know, how many tattoo artists can you say were priests? I was sent to Guadalajara, Mexico as my first assignment and left the priesthood after only a year and a half - the time that it took me to realize that my true vocation wasn’t in ministry.

Because art has always been a part of my life, having studied classical techniques under the tutelage of a master artist monk for some time, I reverted back to my artistic origin and began tattooing. I didn’t realize that this would be the path that would uniquely combine the two aspects of my life that have always been in the forefront: art and being of service to others.
